A grandfather who loved good food, and loved his grandson. Life was simple, but Ah Gong could turn everyday ingredients into Malaysian breakfasts and kopi that his family looked forward to.
Sitting beside him as he enjoyed his kopi left more than familiar flavours. It left the warmth of being cared for, and being remembered.

To honour his late grandfather, a grandson opened Hong Kee in Bukit Mertajam. Through breakfast and kopi, he hoped to share those familiar flavours and that same warmth with more people.
